Trans Italia started up in 1984
thanks to the cooperation of three
pre-existent transport companies
belonging to the D'Auria brothers.
First stablished to do national
transports, it later increased its
activities abroad, specializing in

intermodal transport, a sector in which Trans Italia develops 65% of its turnover.
The company, which opened branches in several European countries, is managing a
fleet made up of 64 tractors and 200 semitrailers, for an annual turnover which in
the year 2000 was more than 20 billion Italian Lira.
